Character Summoner :: A Different Story [PG-13]

The world of magic is right under our noses. This world is run by summoners- those who, added to their own abilities, may call the divines to their aid. But the world of summoning is not all what it seems, and Scarlet Evans is about to learn this, when in a dream, Summoner Meichi James threatens to kill her. To protect herself and anyone affiliated with her, she must become a summoner herself, and beat the unbeatable.

If you were a reader of the original Character Summoner, I will warn you the two stories are completely different. I will continue the original. Also, characters will die in unfair ways. So, if you cannot stomach bloodshed, please turn back. Thank you.

I want to say it was a dream, but it was something more

Some people will tell you that magic doesn't exist, but I will be the one to tell them that they are wrong. I was never one of them, I always thought it was possible. But, I never knew it was possible for someone. But magic isn't what most chalk it up to be. I would know, I can use it. It all started in a dream.

I was standing in a city, whether it actually existed or not I didn't know, but I didn't know where I was. There was a tense feeling in the air, but I did not know where it came from. I walked around, but it was merely the same background over and over again as I walked.

I continued to mindlessly wander until I felt an arm on my shoulder, obviously not human, as its touch was boiling hot, yet it didn't burn. I turned around to see a pitch-black silhouette, looking almost two dimensional. It's hand gripped harder around my shoulder as I tried to break free. The shadow grabbed my other shoulder and tried to pull me into it, I running in the other direction, but only being able to run in place. I felt as if I were to be engulfed into that shadow, until a bright light forced me to squeeze my eyes shut in order not to get blinded.

It seemed forever until the light dimmed. When I finally opened my eyes, there was no remains of the shadow, and instead stood in front of me was a girl, no more than 13, either that or she was just really short. She was dressed in a blue armor, and she grasped silver sword in her hand. Added with angel wings, she had the appearance of a holy being.

She glared at me with hazel eyes, as if I had committed a crime. "Scarlet Evans. " her voice was stern, a level just below from scolding. "When we meet in the waking realm, I will not hesitate to take drastic measures to get you off my territory, even if that means removing you from existence." After saying it, a light emitted from her, her armor and wings disappearing and replaced with a simple t-shirt and jeans. She turned around and begun to leave, her last words to me even more confusing than the ones prior.

"I don't know what you're getting into, but you've already made a grave mistake, Scarlet Evans. "

I jerked awake in my bed, the moonlight soaking my tiny bedroom. I glanced over to check my clock. 3 AM. Fantastic. The one night I didn't fall asleep at this time I end up waking up at that time. I placed my head on the pillow and tried to go to sleep again, only to be interrupted by another voice.

"Yoo-hoo! You're Scarlet Evans, right?"

Did I even need to introduce myself to anyone anymore? Everyone seemed to already know my name!

I rolled over to see another girl, only about 2 years younger than I at 16, with short dark brown hair. She was in a business suit and was holding a clipboard.

"What? How did you get in here?" I asked, sitting upright. "And who the hell are you anyways?" I have a right to be annoyed when someone just pops into my apartment. First night in Richmond, and I have a dream person threatening murder, and someone just appearing in my bedroom! Is this normal in the east coast? Because who knows how many times TV shows and movies happen in the East Coast!

The girl chuckled "I'm sorry! I'm Sasha, and well, teleportation is my special ability! You're just like me, y'know. Come on! Don't tell me you haven't had your summoner training yet?" Her tone was completely casual, as if teleporting was completely normal and everyone knew what summoner training was. I slowly shook my head.

"Well, I'm surprised that you haven't been discovered yet, you have some potential. Maybe even better than- I....shouldn't say her name. But just take my hand! It'll make sense eventually!" Sasha smiled wide as she extended to her hand to me. I was skeptical at first. Isn't this how a lot of animes start? Was I in an anime? I reluctantly took Sasha's hand, and my vision was filled with light once again.

I had no clue what was going on, but I could certainly tell that things weren't going to be the same ever again. And it wasn't going to be the last time I saw that girl from the dream.

well it isn't rocket science. KIN being the Overlord of the Dark Dimensions and Empress of Demons. While Amelia being the Angel surviving heavens judgement on others. Not that hard to connect the dots. XD

Meichi- It was Soul Bond....the bonding of OC and Summoner to grant the summoner the powers of the OC.....that isn't rocket science either
