Mirror, Mirror on The Wall - Oneshot
A little girl of about six of age stood in front of a mirror. The girl had light skin, hazel eyes, and thick, brown hair that hung millimeters above her shoulders. Her face was dotted with freckles. When she smiled, you could see the places where her teeth had fallen. The mirror was nothing too fancy - it was a small circle of glass, about the size of a wall-clock. It had pink sea-shells from the girl's visit to the sea a few weeks ago. She looked into the mirror, and said, "Mirror, mirror on the wall, am I pretty?" She then ran out of the room, a bright smile on her small face.
Fast forward a few years. The girl was older, about sixteen or seventeen. She looked tired and exhausted. She had abandoned any attempt at making her features 'pleasant' for society. Instead, she wore a plain red T-shirt, and blue cotton jeans. She sighed and plopped herself onto her bed. The mirror had now taken up a huge space in her room - well, it had taken a wall. The wall perpendicular to her door was now featuring a full length, head-to-toe mirror. This mirror had a black frame around it, and had a floral motif on the edges. The girl had obviously been crying, as her eyes looked like newly cut glass. She lay on the bed with her arms and legs outstretched. She looked right, towards the mirror. Her eyes stopped for a moment on her scarred wrists, then she focused on the mirror. She murmured, "I was never good enough." and closed her eyes.

The girl was now ten. She sat on her bed, combing her now waist-long hair. The mirror was now about the same size as an A3 sketchbook. It hung over her door by a string. There were no shells around this mirror. It had a plain white frame. The girl was seated on he bed, obviously preparing for a party. She looked nice, at least she thought she did. The only thing that annoyed her were her newly acquired braces. The doctor had insisted that she get them. She was dressed in a teal skirt that reached below her knees, and a pink blouse that felt softer than silk. She wasn't very tall, about 4"9. She finished brushing her hair. Her skin was a little too pale, and her eyes were red, and glassy-looking. She looked into the mirror, and whispered, "Do you think I look good?" and rushed out.

A/N: escribió:Sorry for depressing stuff, I guess life tends to bring you down a lot.
Anyways, the idea behind this was that the mirror is 'life', expectations, people, and the good ol' stuff. That can REALLY break you down. Once you fall, it's hard to get back up. You literally feel like killing yourself. You cry and cry, and bleh.
This was inspired by a post I saw on Google+
For ConflictedColours. I know how much you are probably resenting me, but I wanted you to know that there are people who care about you.
THIS WAS A VENTING PIECE OF LITERATURE SO KINDLY IGNORE THE SIZE.

I love it! It's so sad, but I really like your metaphorical use of the mirror. It's true, too; society likes to point at your flaws, rather than your inner beauty.
