"Hey," D'ick placed his hand on her shoulder. "It wasn't your fault. You couldn't have known."



The mermaid nodded before she followed her boyfriend to their room. She was glad that no one was harmed by this inncident.

"We can't even take a decent vacation." Carter fell back in her bed, frustrated. "Dam.mit..."


Wally sat on the bed, sighing out and laid back, staring at the ceiling fan. "What the heck..."

"Hey. Nothing happened," D'ick said to calm her down. "I'm okay," He said, placing his hand on top of hers.


"You alright?" Mei asked, walking over, worried.

Carter looked at him, frowning. "What if I kill you?" she whispered, her hand shaking. If she had hurt him, she'd kill herself.


"I'll be fine," Wally assured her, looking over at her. He sat up and held out his hand.

"Carter," D'ick gripped her hands and looked her in the eyes. "You didn't. And you won't. Okay?"


"Okay," Mei said, laying her hand in his.

Carter just looked at his blue eyes and she nodded. "Okay," she whispered.


Wally then brought her into his arms and laid back down with her on top, holding his arms around her petite waist.

"Don't worry. You'll be okay. We'll talk to Batman," D'ick said, rubbing her shoulder.


"Are humans always going to want to hurt you?" Mei asked him, head resting on his chest.

Carter's eyes went wide and she sat up. "T-Talk to Bruce? About me going crazy? H-How do you think that would play out?!"


"Humans, Meta-Humans, anyone who does wrong and I try to make right will," Wally frowned, stroking her hair.

"W-well..." D'ick rubbed the back of his neck. "Okay, didn't exactly picture how that would play out..." He admitted. "Probably a rant and some glaring with..." He saw Carters look. "Sorry, not helping." He sighed. "But we have to tell Carter, not so that we can make it worse, but so we can fix it."


Mei frowned before she looked up at him. "Are you always going to be a hero?" She asked.
