D'ick saw her looking at him so he just gave her a smile and took a bite of his apple.

Brooke smiled a little before she sat her things down by the bed he prepared for her. She then started unpacking her stuff to get everything accounted for and checked. However, she wasn't used to this hospitality.

Sam smiled back at him before looking down and continuing eating her apple.
During that quiet time, she kept glancing at Di.ck. Now that she was feeling a bit more relaxed -and kinda tired as well-, she could take a moment to actually pay attention to her host.
And the first thing she saw where his pretty light blue eyes. She had no idea how she hadn't noticed those until then. Probably because she had her mind somewhere else.

As she thought about this, she didn't even realize she had finished her fruit, and she was kinda staring.

D'ick, being well... Him, couldn't help but to notice her stare. He stopped eating from his apple. "Uh, everything ok?" He asked.

Sam's face turned completely red as she realized what she was doing. Quickly, and not very discretely, she looked down.
"Y-yeah, everything's fine" she replied, stumbling with her own words, which made her feel pretty stupid.

D'ick chuckled a little, thinking she was cute. "Hey, it's okay. I get it. Sitting with a stranger like this? Can be a little... Frightning."

"Yeah... it kinda is" Sam said, although she wasn't being completely honest. It was frightening, sure, but that wasn't exactly the reason she was acting like that, but she wasn't going to tell him that.
She lied down on the couch, still not looking at him, as she still felt her cheeks burning.
"Maybe we should, um... get some sleep" she finally said, wanting to change the topic. Besides, she was exhausted, just like she always felt after using her powers, even if it was for a short moment.

Wally went to his bedroom and locked the door before he slipped his shirt off, going over and just falling onto the bed, completely exhausted. Ugh, was he hungry...but he needed to ration his food, especially with Brooke there. He smiled a little to himself. Truthfully, he was glad to have someone else there. Especially a girl.

"Oh, yeah... Getting late," D'ick rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, I'll be right over here then if you need me," he walked over to the madress on the floor.

Brooke got her clothes off of her and put them on a pile on the floor before getting her oversized worn out sleeping shirt over her head. She set her things nearby the bed so that they were ready to hand before she crawled under the covers, blanket more like.

Sam glanced at him when he walked to the mattress.
"Okay" she replied, smiling a little at him.
"Um... good night, Di.ck" she said. For a moment she thought about how weird those words sounded now. It had been a while since she had last told someone that.
