Mei nodded with a smile, feeling safe when he was gonna be next to her. "Okay." she said.


"So True," D'ick said, hopping out and following her.

"Alright," Wally said, taking her to the top of the small hill again, holding onto her hand.


When they got out, they met Jim, who was the owner of the ranch, who took them through the barn to meet the horses.

"This here is Lightnin'. Quickest horse we got, but pretty tame. Reckon you want something a little more obedient starting out?" Jim asked, stopping in front of the door that held Lightning.

"Mmm... I think I'll try her out," Carter smiled.

And that's how it went on. Several attempt too keep her balance on the skiis, try to avoid falling and learning how to break and all that too. It was really harder than Walking Mei thought.


"Cool. So," D'ick clapped his hands together. "Got anything for me?" being Di'ck he was cocky as always.

After a couple of tries, Wally helped her back up. "How about a ten minute break?" he asked her, thinking it'd be best if she went and warmed up before trying again.


"Well, lemme see...." Jim rubbed his chin before he turned, going across the barn to a chestnut colored stallion. "Can ya handle stallions, kid?"

"That sounds like a good idea," Mei admitted, being a little cold even though she could regulate her body temperature.


D'ick, wanting to impress Carter and also a little cocky scoofed. "Course I can," He said with a confident grin. Even though he was in over his head.

Wally nodded, helping her take off the skis and got her regular snow boots on before the two made their way to the lodge.


"You sure? I ain't responsible for whatever kind of injury you get here, kid," Jim told him.

"I'm sorry if I'm too much of trouble," Mei appologized, thinking that maybe he wanted to ski some himself and not just only help her her all the time.


"Y-yeah. Yeah. I'm sure," D'ick nodded. How bad could it be right?

"Hey, hey, you're not trouble," Wally said, holding the door of the lodge open for her. He smiled down at her. "Trust me, beautiful."


"Alright. Lemme get you two some saddles and then we can get started," Jim said, leaving to the supply room for a second.

"Seriously? When you fall off your literally "high horse", I'll be laughing," Carter told her boyfriend, hands on her hips.

Mei smiled back at him as she walked inside the warm lodge. "Well, if you say so." It was actually a lot of people inside as well, warming up.


"Pth, please. Acrobate here? Besides... we had ponny's at the circus," D'ick pointed out, overly confident with a grin on his face.
