It's a doodle I decided to colour, let's be hones,. but I'm posting it for a different reason actually- I'm coming back and will be slowly going through whole forum.

Fyora from Neopets, right? She looks awesome! I think you did a really good rendition of her. Is there any particular reason you decided to draw the character?

@Cal- yeah, You're right. My sis and I were reminisced on neopets recently Very Happy

But the whole story is even more prosaic than that, it was a doodle and I thought that the character I was drawing could actually remind Fyora, so I went that way and drew her Very Happy

It's basically illustration of myth about Isis and Osiris, here's the part about goddess searching for body of her husband, with two side frames presenting parts of "his" journey.

It hopefully will be part of something bigger, but at that moment it's not in my gesture to say if it will, and yeah that's the project.

The fading throne symbol is depicting her slow loosing her majestic appearance on her way, as she was later on considered by passers-by to be mere woman.
More likely she stopped looking queenly, or goddess-ly, when she started the lamentations with her sister Nephthys, rather than during her walk, but licentia poetica and I prefer to see it as process of giving in the grief, despair, and simple fatigue, while although making efforts, not being able to find her love, rather than one outburst based on no sure information (as Isis pointed out herself).

The pic is meant for grey-scale, it still didn't stopped me from loosing a lot of time thinking about all the colours, i.e being tempted to make her dress midnight-blue/black as is the Roman statue: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/67/Wien_KHM_Isis_I_158.jpg/640px-Wien_KHM_Isis_I_158.jpg
but in the end went just with darker red and navy sash without tyet, since that's pre-conception of Horus. Well there always will be something in creative process You loose time, even though logically thinking You didn't have to, right? Very Happy

And funny thing, although it's not visible, I really had to dig up a lot of resources to look for designs here, I basically excavated my old room and reached the junior high deposit layers... Very Happy

And yeah the shoes are basically rip-off of what ancient Egyptians really own (the royals of course).
