The train that had posters of the old acts and 'Haley's International Traveling Circus' rounded the corner of the land that was known as Gotham City. A rainbow haired girl stuck her head out of the window to see the rising sun be hidden by the tall skyscrapers of the mysterious and crime filled town. Last time they had been in Gotham was 6 years, and the smiling girl hoped this visit would be better than the last time, and she hoped to see a certain boy.

Emi was excited for that night since Dick had invited her to go to the circus with her. She knew his background and had been unsure if he really wnated at first but when he'd insisted she'd be happy to accept.

Wally, Dick's best friend, was planning on going, too. After all, a food lover wouldn't pass up on a chance to get hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, and see cool circus acts. Plus, he knew about Dick's past and all, and wanted to see how cool his family's old circus was and to be there for him in case it was too hard for him, but...he knew that Emi was gonna be there for him. Emi, Dick's girlfriend, who he had a crush on, but would never tell Dick that. Dick would kick his ass.

Dick was excited as well. He was gonna get to relive his circus but now as audience. He hoped to see all of his old friends there, but he knew that it also might be tuff for him and that's why ha was glad that both Emi and Wally was comming with him.

Wally had gotten up early that morning just so he'd have everything ready to go to the circus. He knew Dick might've wanted to go early so he could see his old friends before the show started.


"Scarlett! Stop playing with Jumbo and come help with the boxes!" Scarlet's dad, Brady, called to his daughter, disappearing into the main tent.

"Coming!" Scarlett pet the elephant's ear and jumped down, landing on her two feet and ran to get some boxes that her little brother, Romeo, was trying to carry. "Need some help?" she asked, grabbing the biggest box.

Romeo groaned, feeling better that the weight was lifted off of his little arms. "Yeah, thanks, Scar. But I could've gotten it, ya know, since I'm just that awesome."

"Yeah, uh-huh." Scarlett kicked his butt lightly with her foot and laughed, walking by him with the box.

"So, how much do you think they'll changed, your friends, I mean?" Emi asked, already being over at the mansion as they waited for Wally.

"Well, I know I've changed pretty much," Dick chuckled.

"Hey, dude and dudette!" Wally said, showing up in a flash, having his ticket in hand and took his goggles off, putting both his ticket and goggles in his ants pocket. "You guys ready to go?"

"Hey man,.. late as usual I see?" Dick chuckled.
