Young Justice - don't call them sidekicks

Two days later, Zerena had went over to the Wayne Mansion to see how Jason was adjusting. She heard from D'ick that he was still pretty awkward with everything, but when they had their first sparring lesson in the Batcave, Jason actually fared nicely. So, he was definitely showing the talent he had, and Zerena just wanted to see him, since they were technically together and all and she missed him. Yeah.


Meanwhile, Black Canary had arrived to the Cave to speak with Artemis under Batman's request. He had been alerted of her sudden "attack" on Wally's mother, and she was asked for an evaluation of her "condition". She walked over to where she saw Wally making lunch for him and Artemis. "Hey, Wally," she greeted the young speedster. "How is your knee?"

"Oh, BC. Hey." Wally looked up. "Been good. Think I could start running from here to Paris and back in no time."

"Don't push it," Black Canary chuckled. "Where is Artemis?"

"She went to do "lady things" in the bathroom," Wally said, quoting his fingers in the air.

(Noe it happened again! It didn't want to post. Okay. Officially weird from phone xD)

Jason was at the mansion and since it was about lunch he was sitting, playing video games while Alfred was cooking. D'ick and Bruce was out since he har some.... Mathlethe thing or whatever. But would be back for lunch. He was kinda sucking at this game, but he had never played video games before.


Artemis was in the bathroom. She was looking herself in the mirror, knowing she was struggling with keeping it under control. Since what happened at Wally's house even having him around didn't seem to help. 'Cool it Arty... You've dealt with worse...' she tried convincing herself. She let out a sigh before she walked out of the bathroom, suprised to bump into BC, almost having a small heartattack. "B-black Canary..."

Zerena then knocked on the front door, awaiting for Alfred to answer the door. It was then a minute later that Alfred opened the door for her.

"Ah, Miss Zerena. Come on in," Alfred said, opening the door. He was to let Zerena in whenever she showed up unless told otherwise by Master Bruce. Bruce thought Jason would feel more comfortable with having a familiar face around time to time.

"Thanks, Alfred! Nice handkerchief," she told him as she walked inside.

"Thank you. Master Todd is in the living room," Alfred told him. "I am preparing lunch. Are you staying for long?"

"Oh, uh, maybe," Zerena said. "I don't want to intrude."

"It is no intrusion," Alfred told her, smiling.

"Alright, then sure." Zerena smiled before going to the living room.



"Hey, Artemis. Calm down, I'm just here to talk," Black Canary told her.

Alfred smiled after the young lady, closing the door after her before going to finnish up the lunch. Making for her as well.

"Oh, c'mon!" Jason groaned when he lost again! "That wasn't even fare!" He argued with the game.


"Rigth... I'm fine. Um, what was it that you wanted to talk about?" Artemis asked, calming down.

"You're yelling at a game, Jason," Zerena giggled, leaning over the couch from behind, wrapping her arms around his neck.


"I wanted to talk about your recent, um behavior," Black Canary said. When she said that, Wally immediately looked over from the kitchen.

(aw, Kim and John reunite!!!)

"It has rediculous rules!" Jason stated, still pissed off as he at the controller in his lap, leaning back. Little did he know he was yet to be pissed off at Zerena.


"Oh,... um. Sure, I guess...." Artemis said. She guessed Batman called her there, and she couldn't really say no. Everyone knew she wasn't doing well.
