Young Justice - don't call them sidekicks

"Which we hope will be soon." Kaldur held up his glass. "To a speedy recovery."

"I heard that," Wally said, clinking his glass with his own.


Alfred looked over, expecting to see Jason, but not Zerena. "Well, seems we have a visitor in our midst. I am Alfred Pennyworth, miss."

"Zerena Zatara. Um, just call me Zerena," Zerena smiled.

"Welcome, Miss Zerena," Alfred nodded. "Is Bruce on his way up?"

"That was actually pretty funny," Artemis admitted, chukling before taking a sip from her water.


"Yeah, don't worry. He'll be here in a minute," D'ick said, taking his usual seat at the table.

"Uh..." Jason stood by, not sure where to sit. Where he was allowed to sit. This was all pretty new to him. A home,.. he wasn't really sure how people acted.

Wally laughed. "Who knew Kaldur had it in him? Mind if I use that?" he asked.

Kaldur then realized he made a pun and he chuckled. "Uh, yes, I don't mind."


Alfred pulled a chair out for Zerena. She smiled, thanking him before sitting in and he pushed the chair in slightly. Alfred then went over and held a chair out for Jason. "Sit," he told him. "You will be living here with us, am I correct? You cam sit anywhere except for the head of the table. That is where Master Bruce sits."

The team laughed, it was pretty funny since they all knew how their team leader was.


"Uh,.. yeah. Thanks. No worries," Jason said, sitting down at the chair Alfred geastured to.

Wally chuckled, continuing to eat and laugh with his friends he was lucky to have.


A minute later, Bruce came up in some regular clothes - if you call a nicely pressed suit normal. He took his seat and smiled at the plate in front of him. "Outstanding as ever, Alfred." He grabbed his fork and looked over at Jason who looked awkward. "Have as much as you like, Jason. Alfred's cooking is nothing bu the best."

(So, what we gonna do now?)


"Uh,.. right. Thanks," Jason said. He gave a weak smile, feeling a bit shy as he picked up his fork and knife, taking a bite. He glanced at D'ick and Zerena to see if they two were eyeing him. They all seemed to be. Great.

D'ick chuckled and just poured up some milk in his glass before he started eating.

((Um.... Maybe next day, or couple of days... BC could come to talk with Artemis, see what suddenly triggered her "attack"))

(Yeah, yeah. Sure ^^ And Jason could be adapting to everything new. And maybe when he found out that Zerena was the one who asked Bruce to take him in, he could be pissed because he didn't want her pity? Idk. Fights are always fun xD)
